1930's Marital Scale

It's official. I'm a poor wife! Must be because I don't iron his clothes.

41

As a 1930s wife, I am
Poor

Take the test!

My DH

I just wanted to say something about Jimmy's hobby. The last couple of years, he's been taking pottery classes at the Frederick Pottery School. Here he is doing his thing! Someone at the school took this picture.

This past winter he took a wood fired class for the second time. It's held at Monocacy Pottery. Here he is stoking the kiln. Debbi, one of the ladies in the class, took this picture.

It gets really hot in the kiln. Debbi took this picture also.

Doesn't he do lovely work. This little vase was from the last class.

Weston Ramp Dinner

I attended the Weston Ramp Dinner on May 26th. It was a fund raiser for the family of a city employee. Recently, his wife had passed away. A lot of people volunteered food, supplies and time for this worthy cause.

They had a good crowd. The food was delicious. The ramps were hot. I only eat bacon when I eat ramps so I really pigged out on that at this dinner. Oh, the sweet tea was really good. I'm pretty sure it was brewed and not that instant crap!

I guess the Armory made them cook the ramps outside!

Me-me

TINKer Belle tagged me, the rules are thus:

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
Let the person who tagged you know when you've posted your answer.

Here goes for moi:

1. What was I doing 10 years ago? I was a SAHM and raising a happy 5 year old! Do you really expect me to remember what I did 10 years ago!!

2. What are 5 things on my to-do list for today (not in any particular order):
a. buy new tennis shoes
b. fill the bird feeders
c. laundry, more laundry!
d. schedule a mammogram
e. check on my Villagers

3. Snacks I enjoy: chocolate ice cream, Chex Mix, Sun Chips, pretzels, anything chocolate!

4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire: pay off all my bills; donate to some worthy causes, take classes, oh and put gas in my car, I might actually take a drive for the heck of it. I would fix this old house up!

5. Places I have lived: Huntington WV, Athens OH, Glenville WV, Kingwood WV, Terra Alta WV, Vienna WV, Stonewood WV, Germantown MD, Mount Airy MD

6. Peeps I want to know more about: this is a toughie, but I'll try to limit my curiousity: Uh, Alan Rickman. Seriously, TINKer Belle and Diana. I don't visit too many blogs. Most of them, I already know.

I'm a nut!

You Are a Brazil Nut

To most people, you seem exotic, unusual, and even a bit scary.

But you're really quite normal. You're just hard to get to know.

If people leave you alone and let you do your thing, you really shine.

But you tend to get lost in a crowd, especially if it's filled with big personalities.
